K. Bridget Marshall
My professional experience includes working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in evaluating children with special needs as well as primary care of infants, children and adolescents. I have been a CPNP since 1996 and received a post master's certificate of added qualification for APN's in reproductive health and gynecology in 2000. I am currently developing a position in this area for the evaluation of child sexual abuse with appropriate expert peer review. I am doing this in conjunction with pursuing my DNP at the University of Utah where I am expected to graduate in May, 2012.
As a member of NAPNAP I was selected to participate in developing national guidelines for childhood obesity evaluation and prevention in 2000. In Colorado I served on the committee to ensure passage of prescriptive privileges for NP's by organizing the legislator "Shadow a Nurse Day" at The Children's Hospital in Denver. As a member of the Colorado Nurse's Association I served as co-chair of the membership committee.
I look forward to networking, reaching out and developing programs for the community of fantastic NPs in Southeast Idaho. The opportunity to serve the NPs and NPI in this area would be an honor.
